Have I ever told you my one true talent is quoting Beyoncé lyrics whenever appropriate? In this case Beyoncé lyrics were the only acceptable phrases to be DIY-ed onto these tote bags – especially the hot sauce one. I discovered this technique from Pinterest (my new obsession) and although iron-on transfer pens are mostly used by embroiderers to transfer designs onto fabric, it can be used in so many ways! I especially love this DIY because it requires so few materials. Keep reading for the easy-to-follow tutorial to make these über cool tote bags that will have you feeling like a queen; Queen Bey to be exact.
what you need:
- tote bags
- iron on transfer marker
- printed quote design (download here!)
- iron
the how-to:
step one: download and print out these quotes. They are reversed so they show up the right way after you iron! You can print them larger if you have a bigger tote bag.
step two: trace the quote design with the iron-on transfer marker 
step three: place the design face down on the tote bag and iron it. I taped the corners of my sheet so the design wouldn’t move.
And that’s it! You’re ready to ball out with your beautiful tote bags. I promised this would be an easy DIY and hope you find this to be true! I foresee myself making many more items with this technique in the future. I mean, those customized tea towels are just calling my name.
You don’t have to limit yourself to just my design too! Think prints, patterns or even your own lettered quote.
