I know I’m getting ahead of myself with this Thanksgiving Dinner cocktail but I’ll do anything for Pimm’s. Speaking of Pimm’s, America, let me introduce you to Mr. Pimm’s. It’s a very popular liquor in the UK (my bestfriend buys it anytime he visits from London – shoutout to the real MVP) and it’s hard to imagine why it’s not a big deal over here too. Anywhoo, it’s really good. More like amazing. And you can get it in some liquor stores in the US!
My next secret weapon for this world-class cocktail is the ginger syrup from Morris Kitchen in Brooklyn. I used to make my own syrup until I discovered this beauty.
So here’s the recipe!
What you need:
-1/2 cup sugar
-1 cup water
-1/2 cup cranberries
-1/3 cup Pimm’s
-1/2 teaspoon ginger syrup
-Club soda
-extra cranberries for garnishing
Bring the sugar, water and cranberries to a boil in a small saucepan. As soon as it begins to boil and the cranberries start popping (yes, they pop) take it off the burner and let it cool.
After the cranberry syrup cools you can begin making your drink. In a medium sized glass filled with ice add 1/3 cup of the cranberry syrup, 1/3 cup Pimm’s and 1/2 tsp ginger syrup. Stir well to mix
Top off with club soda and garnish with sugared cranberries. Enjoy.
